The CEO of Petore Construction, Ted Vitale serves his clients in and around New Jersey and New York. In this role, Ted Vitale has been an integral part of overseeing major projects for transportation organizations and retail establishments located in Boston’s Logan Airport.
In September 2020, MarketPlace Logan, a manager of the airport’s concessions, announced new safety measures in light of reducing the spread of COVID-19 that include contactless options and innovative amenities. The following measures are a part of the plan to make eating and traveling through Logan Airport a lot safer.
1. Six-foot space markers separating travelers and mandatory face mask rules
2. Self-order kiosks at some eateries, pre-order options on eatery app, and contactless pickup at some eateries
3. Contactless payment at retail and dining establishments
4. QR codes for dine-in menus
5. Plexi-shield glass at cash registers and increased sanitizing of high touchpoints.
In addition to these safety measures, the airport also added new amenities such as the AtYourGate delivery service, GRAB e-commerce platform, and PPE vending machines. AtYourGate offers travelers the option of ordering a meal and having it delivered in less than 30 minutes from places such as B.Good, Not Your Average Joes, and other places, and GRAB allows customers to place orders through a variety of delivery channels. Finally, the PPE vending machines will sell packaged masks, hand sanitizers, multi-use thermometers, latex gloves, and UV-C sanitizers for mobile phones.
