As CEO of Petore Construction, Ted Vitale has overseen major projects in New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C. In addition to his experience in construction management, he volunteers his time with charitable organizations. One of the initiatives that Ted Vitale has contributed to is Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), which supports families whose children are getting long-term medical care.
In 2021, RMHC received funding from the Alexion Charitable Foundation, the social responsibility arm of Alexion Pharmaceuticals. The Alexion Charitable Foundation (ACF) launched in February 2020 with the purpose of giving hope to people with rare conditions. It awarded $2 million in grants to organizations with similar missions that include combatting rare diseases. RMHC was the recipient of one of the ACF’s grant programs, Rare Belonging, which specifically supports non-profit organizations that serve patients, families, and caregivers who deal with the impact of having or caring for someone with a rare disease.
The grant was given to RMHC chapters in France, UK, Italy, and Australia, as part of the charity’s Global Health and Wellness Initiative. With the funding, the organization aims make an impact locally, contributing to families’ treatment and psychosocial requirements
