Serving the New York City region, Ted Vitale is the CEO of Petore Construction, a general-purpose contractor. Ted Vitale also donates to several non-profit organizations, including Best Buddies International, a group that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Headquartered in Miami, Best Buddies aids individuals who are on the autism spectrum or have Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other conditions. Noting that some 200 million people worldwide experience marginalization due to intellectual and developmental disabilities, the agency operates a fourfold program of assistance.

Best Buddies encourages the forging of friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. Working in middle schools, high schools, and colleges, these programs offer inclusive interactions that build confidence and self-esteem. They are also open to adults and those who prefer virtual interaction.

Living with others is another good way to build relationships. To this end, Best Buddies’ residential facility in Washington, DC, enhances social skills through parties, sports, weekly meals, and field trips.

Finally, the organization develops leadership skills with its Ambassadors and Promoters programs. Ambassadors learn speechmaking so they can share their living experiences with public interest groups, while promoters serve in schools without intellectual and developmental disabilities classes and participate in assemblies and fundraisers.

Tom Ford in Washington, DC

The CEO of Petore Construction in Wall Township, New Jersey, Ted Vitale spearheads contract construction projects throughout the greater New York metropolitan area and beyond. A good example of a major Petore project under Ted Vitale’s direction is a Tom Ford location in Washington, DC.

The luxury retail brand Tom Ford, the company of former Gucci Group designer Tom Ford, opened its first store in New York City in 2007. Its DC location began on an existing retail property that contractors had to demolish in order to build a brand new structure from the ground up. They reframed the entire space to encompass a total of 3,500 square feet.

As part of the construction process, they installed an up-to-date electrical system as well as mechanical systems that included a network of VAV (variable air volume) boxes with linear diffusers. The final retail space was sleek and modern, with an abundance of precisely targeted overhead lighting.

What Is a Food Pantry?

As the CEO of a New Jersey-based construction management service company Petore Construction, Ted Vitale has worked with clients in different restaurant and department stores in New York and North Carolina. Outside of his professional pursuits, Ted Vitale has worked as a volunteer for the CORA food pantry.

A neighborhood food pantry is a service that helps people who are in need. It is managed by a non-profit, such as a religious group. Food is received, purchased, stored, and distributed at these facilities.

Another community organization, such as a food bank, can provide low-income individuals and families with access to a food pantry. A food bank is a hunger relief organization that distributes food to food pantries. Before accepting any food contributions, they must become an agency member of a food bank. The pantry must have enough freezers, refrigerators, and shelves to keep food. The food storage area used by the pantries must be clean and hygienic. Food pantries are dependent on donations from businesses, individuals, schools, and religious organizations.

Carolina Tiger Rescue Works

A resident of the New York Metropolitan Area, Ted Vitale is the recipient of a BA in accounting from Monmouth University in New Jersey. The CEO of Petore Construction, Ted Vitale has contributed to a number of charities and nonprofit groups, including Carolina Tiger Rescue.

Currently, Carolina Tiger Rescue provides shelter and care for about 10 different wildlife species that are native to various parts of the world. In recent years, the majority of these species, including tigers, have been exposed to drastic population declines, resulting in their becoming endangered species. Gradually, the natural habitats of these species are being destroyed, leaving the animals exposed to various risks such as poaching, in addition to lack of shelter. According to Carolina Tiger Rescue, protection of these natural habitats is imperative. The ultimate goal of the organization is to conserve the species while ongoing wild habitat propagation efforts provide suitable natural habitats where animals can thrive.

In addition to cats like tigers and lions, Carolina Tiger Rescue provides protection and shelter for species like the leopard, kinkajou, caracal, and coatimundi. The majority of the animals cared for are those whose habitat has been fragmented and destroyed. Regardless of the circumstances they came from, all the aforementioned species are wild and deserve opportunities to thrive in their natural habitats.

Communication in Construction Projects

Since 2010, Ted Vitale has served as CEO of Petore Construction. Together with his team, Ted Vitale has provided construction management services and overseen the completion of projects nationwide from Texas to New York. While a large construction project can benefit from the combined knowledge and skills of team members, its success will also depend on the efficiency of communication.

Communication lack in construction projects can result from the highly complex nature of the industry. Top causes of poor communication include fear to communicate, lack of sector experience, poor communication skills, individual barriers (habits), and lack of a communication plan.

Unclear communication can result in wrong interpretations or confusion, information transfer to the wrong person, or delays in the flow of information. Any of these can cause mistakes or disputes, which will require time to sort out. Excessive cost and delay may arise. Cost also may be added due to having to do a job over or from materials ordered in error because of misinterpretation.
